Joel's Woodturning

Welcome to my woodturning site. Here you will find a great deal of pieces I have done in the past in full scale, miniature, and some conceptual art forms. In addition I make duck calls and have a web site dedicated to them you can see at www.jegcalls.com. I also have recently started doing some of my work in reclaimed wood that I find from sources where the wood would have otherwise been discarded. I have been turning for some 10 years now and have progressed a long way in my pieces and was one of the first people to have a web site dedicated to showing them. I get a great deal of joy in knowing that the works I create find their way into the homes of people who can appreciate the artistry of woodturning along with the natural beauty that wood provides. If you have any questions please feel free to email me and I will respond in kind. Below you will find the items I currently have for sale and their associated costs. Thanks for stopping by.

This is the first in what I plan to be a continuing effort to use local reclaimed woods. It is a nice decorative lidded piece that stands about 7 inches tall and is about 5 inches in diameter. Made from 385 individual pieces of wood. The lighter colored wood is what I believe to be white oak salvaged from a pallet from where I work while the darker colored wood is black persimmons sometimes called Texas ebony that was harvested from a storm fall down from a gentlemans yard in Texas.

Price: $225.00 plus $10.00 insured shipping anywhere in the US.
